This Privacy Policy (hereinafter: the “Privacy Policy”) applies to the personal data of users (hereinafter: “Users”) of the website operating at https://sabajlaw.pl (hereinafter: the “Website”), as well as to social media profiles indirectly or directly associated with the “Sabaj Law” brand.
The controller of Users’ personal data is Paweł Sabaj, conducting business under the name “Kancelaria Sabaj Law, Paweł Sabaj”, with its registered office in Warsaw (00-807), at Al. Jerozolimskie 96, Tax ID (NIP): 5222735489, hereinafter referred to as the “Controller”.
The Controller will process the following Users’ data:
1. first and last name,
2. correspondence address,
3. phone number,
4. e-mail address,
5. workplace,
6. job title/position,
7. any data entrusted in connection with the Controller providing legal assistance to Users, including special categories of data within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: “GDPR”), which the Controller also protects in accordance with the applicable professional secrecy arising from specific regulations,
8. with regard to social media profiles – public data shared on those profiles or voluntarily provided by Users.
The legal basis for the Controller’s processing of Users’ personal data is:
1. Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR – to the extent necessary to perform contracts for legal services and to comply with legal obligations incumbent on the Controller.
2. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – to the extent required by the Controller’s legitimate interests, including the pursuit of claims arising from contracts for legal services.
3. Article 9(2)(f) GDPR – to the extent processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of Users’ claims within the scope of legal assistance provided.
The Controller will process Users’ data for the following purposes:
1. where the Controller provides legal assistance to Users,
2. to inform Users about the details of the Controller’s offer – at the Users’ explicit request,
3. for the purpose of practising as an attorney-at-law (adwokat) and/or legal counsel (radca prawny) in matters entrusted by Users,
4. for purposes specified by the terms and privacy policies of the social media platforms through which Users contacted the Controller.
The processed personal data will come from its voluntary disclosure by Users via the Website, e-mail, traditional mail, and other means of distance communication, as well as via social media, and through direct contact.
Users’ personal data will be stored until the provision of services to Users is completed, and thereafter for the limitation period of any claims that may arise in connection with the Controller’s provision of legal services to Users.
The User has the right to:
1. access the data,
2. rectify the data,
3. erase the data,
4. restrict processing,
5. object to processing,
6. data portability,
7. withdraw consent to processing (where consent is required),
8. lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) (Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warsaw, kancelaria@uodo.gov.pl).
Providing data is voluntary, but necessary in order to use the Controller’s services.
Data may be disclosed to:
1. entities authorised to receive it under applicable law,
2. entities processing Users’ data on behalf of the service provider (e.g., external IT and marketing service providers),
3. lawyers, advisers, and service providers to the extent necessary to perform the services.
The service provider undertakes to protect the data against access by unauthorised persons and to disclose only the minimum necessary information.
The Controller may use cookies (i.e., small text files sent to the User’s device, identifying them as needed to simplify or complete a given operation) in order to collect information related to the User’s use of the Service. Cookies allow: maintaining the User’s session; adapting the Service to the User’s needs; creating statistics on views of the Service’s subpages. The User may change cookie settings at any time. To do so, the User should change the settings of their web browser regarding cookies.
